ISLAND JUNIOR SQUAD TRIALS
2026-27 Season
Isle of Man Badminton have 3 Island junior squads – ‘Foundation’, ‘Development’, and ‘Elite’, with each squad limited to 18-20 players. Foundation and Development squads train on a Friday evening, Elite squads train on a Wednesday evening.
Each squad will be focused on a set of Core Skill Competencies that have been created, ensuring there is a consistency against how players are assessed. Should you wish to see/read these, they are available to download below:
The junior Island Squads are for players who will already be playing regularly either in a club or other separate coaching and are not for complete beginners. Spaces are limited so places are not guaranteed from year to year. For those who are looking to take up badminton, please refer to our clubs page here to get started.
Squads are overseen by the performance committee in conjunction with the coaches and any queries about squads should be addressed to performance@iombadminton.com
Squad trials for the 2026-27 Season will take place on:
Friday 4th September, 6-8pm at the Roundhouse in Braddan.
You must register for a place using the form below.
The cost of the trial session will be £10 per player, you will receive the payment link in your confirmation email once you submit the form.
Please note, we can’t guarantee a trial place for anyone who doesn’t register before hand due to limited court space at the venue.
